Das Bemühen der IETF einen Standard für den Transport von syslog-Nachrichten über TLS zu entwickeln, wird momentan durch Huawei bedroht. Wie heise berichtete, ist ein Patent auf den Transport von log-Daten über TLS angemeldet worden.

An der Stelle endet mein Verständnis für Softwarepatente. Vielleicht hätte huawei am besten gleich ein Patent auf den Transport von Daten über IP anmelden sollen…
